BMPower

BMPower is a project whose main goal is to create fuel cells for drones and robots.

One of the main problems for many users of unmanned aerial vehicles and fuel cell robots is that there are currently no hydrogen fuelling stations for them. It is this problem that BMPower is working on, which, by the way, last year created the world's lightest fuel cell for drones. Thanks to this cell, the multi-copter platform can stay in the air for about three and a half hours or more. The company offers an alternative to lithium ion batteries, which at the same size and weight can contain ten times more energy, and increase the flight time of a conventional drone to twelve hours. The company's target audience is oil and gas companies, telecommunications companies, delivery services, border guards and so on.

With hydrogen fuelling stations, it will be possible to use unmanned aerial vehicles in places where industrial fuelling is not possible. This will be useful for cargo delivery, border surveillance and fire control. So far, more than thirty companies, both Russian and foreign, have been interested in the company's developments. Thanks to innovative technologies used by BMPower in its developments, the consumer will have a number of advantages. These advantages include mobility, the ability to use one filling station for several systems, ease of use, financial availability, no requirements for water purity and independence from the climate. It is no wonder that such a project soon became a resident of Skolkovo.

Demand in the market of fuel cells for unmanned aerial vehicles also speaks about the prospects of BMPower. For example, it is expected that by early 2030 there will be more than one million such devices in operation in the world, and the market volume will be tens of billions of dollars. The total potential of the world market for unmanned aerial vehicles is one hundred and twenty-seven billion dollars. By using a budget catalyst made of cobalt, BMPower will be able to create a light, easy to use and affordable refuelling device that can be used anywhere in the world and in all weather conditions. The unmanned aerial refueling station will be promoted together with fuel cell power systems.
