For more than ten years, the company has been carrying out joint research and development activities in cooperation with the Gubkin Institute of Oceanology. The company has been cooperating with the P.P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, FSUE Krylov State Research Center, etc.

For the whole period of its work, the company has published more than 12 reports on its work, developed methods of recognition of the wave energy potential, and tested the wave energy sample equipment.

Gidroenergospecstroy in Saint-Petersburg owns its own pilot production site, in addition, the same site is located in the basin of FSUE Krylovsky State Research Center. At the latter, the company carries out tests to help determine the conditions of unrest at the site of the prototype to be put into operation.

The main projects of the company are such notorious projects as Malta, Evpatoria, Blue Lagoon, Argentina, Aquacamping, etc.

Gidroenergospecstroy's own developments include the Wave Power Station, the Multifunctional Marine Complex, and the Quick-Erected Modules, сomplex of combined power generation, Pressure-vacuum system.
