The Russian scientist named the timing of the widespread use of nanorobots in practical medicine
Alexey Belogurov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, at the St. Petersburg site of the educational marathon of the Znanie Society, named the time frame in which nanorobots will be widely used in Russian medicine. According to him, all this will happen in the next 20-25 years.
"About nanorobots — some complete artificial systems will be developed on the horizon of 20-25 years, which at least can be used for diagnostic purposes. All this is actively developing," TASS quotes him as saying. Belogurov noted that the forecasts for the use of nanorobots in direct treatment are still "a little fantastic", but he did not rule out such a scenario.
The expert added that there are already examples of successful experiments with the use of nanorobots in practice. We are talking about experiments of modification of small spherical particles into special high-molecular structures. Penetrating into the body, they are able to determine the presence of certain substances in the body.
