Scientists of the South Ural State University have received a patent for a radio-absorbing material — they hope that the innovation will be in demand in radio engineering. According to the agency " <url>", referring to information from the university, scientists have patented a new highly effective radio-absorbing material, the composition and structure of which provide effective absorption of electromagnetic radiation and makes it possible to control the process.

"The powder of a highly entropic material helps to achieve the desired effect," the source clarifies. -The substance has the structure of hexaferrite. Ferrites are compounds of iron with oxygen and oxides of other metals. High entropy in the material is achieved by mixing several components at once, for example, metals."

According to scientists, the substance can be used in the manufacture of coatings to absorb electromagnetic radiation. The material completely destroys the echo — this feature of it can be in demand in measuring devices.
